At Soma Eastside Church you will find a group of Eastsiders just like you doing life together.  We are a regional church with attendees from Issaquah, Sammamish, Maple Valley, North Bend, Fall City, Redmond, and Bellevue.  We know that it can be intimidating coming into a new church. We want to help you feel at home - you are welcome here! 

We meet on Sunday mornings in Issaquah (5025 Issaquah-Pine Lake Rd SE, Issaquah, WA 98029).

Worship Service

Our service begins at 10:00 and lasts about an hour and a half (from 10-11:30). Greeters will invite you in and help direct you or answer any questions. We have a bulletin for you with information about Soma Eastside and what to expect from the service.

We start the service with announcements and worship, followed by a 40-minute sermon, and ending with more worship. Liturgy (call and response) readings happen throughout the service. Most of our worship music is contemporary, with a few hymns mixed in. Song lyrics and liturgy readings will be projected so you can follow along even if you're not familiar with it. You are always welcome to just listen if that is more comfortable for you.

We take Communion every Sunday.  During the last worship set, you'll walk to one of the tables and dip bread in the wine or juice. We encourage everyone to take time to pray with their family, with their Missional Community, with friends, or on their own.  You can return to your seat or gather on the side of the sanctuary to pray.

Connection

Soma Eastside is a relaxed atmosphere where people connect, celebrate what God is doing, ask questions, and support one another.  We aim to be an authentic community, where people can come exactly as they are. Wear whatever makes you comfortable - you'll see most people dressed casually.

For Kids

Kids meet in Kids Crews each Sunday.  Pre-school aged kids (babies through 5 years old) can be dropped off as soon as you arrive.  Kindergarten-5th graders check in when you arrive, but stay with your family for worship and leave with their crew leaders before the sermon.  You are welcome to accompany them back to their classroom and get them settled and meet their crew leaders. Then they come back to the sanctuary during the last worship set.  Your kids are always welcome to stay with you in the service if they feel more comfortable there.

We have a check in for all kids attending crews.  The Soma Kids Host will help you with that!

The 4th Sunday of each month is Family Sunday - kids and youth (kindergarten and up) stay with your family for the whole service.  Nursery and pre-school crews meet as normal.  Learn more about Family Sunday here.
